About G. L. Howard, Inc.
G.L. Howard, Inc was founded by Gillie Howard in the late 1950’s as a one man operation involved in lot clearing and draintile installation for farmers.
Gillie moved into drain field and septic tank installation and as the interstate system began to take off in the 1960’s he became involved in pipe work as a subcontractor on VDOT projects. Through the years, the company has evolved and grown to the point where it can handle pipe work from 1- inch to 126- inch in diameter.
The company is presently run by William “Bill” Howard, Mr. Howard’s son, who has been involved with the construction company since the mid- 1970’s and became a fulltime employee in 1979. The superintendents, project managers and foremen average over 20 years experience in the construction field.
